Edward Gawler Prior

Conservative (1867-1942)

Hon. Mr. PRIOR.

Before you leave the Chair, Mr. Speaker, I would like to ask the right hon. gentleman if he can inform the House whether he has had any answer from the Imperial government in regard to the proposed change of programme of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York. I am anxious to know, as the British Columbia legislature has unanimously passed a resolution asking Their Highnesses to visit British Columbia, as I learn from a telegram received from Premier Dunsmuir, to-night.

The PRIME MINISTER.

I must answer my hon. friend that there is correspondence still going on upon this subject. I am not in a position to state anything further now.
