2. What was the total cost of the Brandon drill hall, including site?

3. Have the buildings for guard-room and married quarters at the Winnipeg barracks been yet completed? If so, when?

4. What was the total cost for each of these buildings, and when were they occupied?

5. Are there any members of the permanent force at Winnipeg still drawing allowances in lieu of quarters? If so, how many, and at what rates?

2. Site, $3,100; building, $63,759.14; total, $66,859.14.

4. Guard-room, $28,993.02; quarters for N. C. officers, $48,880.32.

The first, third and fifth questions were answered by the Minister of Militia. He stated that a site had been given free to the government. As to that he was misinformed. The cost of the building as given by him was $52,954. That was the contract price. There were some additional expenditures for fittings and other work in connection with the building, which made the total what I have stated.
