Sir FREDERICK BORDEN: (Minister of Militia and Defence)

Liberal

1. Yes; Lt.-Colonel A. N. Worthington. 1st May, 1905.

2. Yes; $1 per diem. Since May 1, 1905 to November 30, 1909, latest payment, he has received $1,663 as principal medical officer, Quebec command, and in addition he received $204 for attending annual training at Laprairie camp, 1905, and Sherbrooke camp, 1906.

3. (a) He is responsible to the officer commanding, Quebec command, for the medical administration, medical arrangements and sanitary duties within the command. These reports are made confidentially, for the information of his superior officers and the Minister of Militia only, and it is, therefore, not considered desirable to answer this question.

Refusal to give such information is not to be understood to imply, in any way, that the confidential report on the officer in question has not been satisfactory.

4. 1906.
