I have the honour to inform the House that during the Recess I received communications from several members notifying me that the following vacancies had occurred in the representation, viz:
Of the Hon. Thomas Andrew Low, member for the electoral district of the south riding of Renfrew, consequent upon the acceptance of an office of emolument under the Crown.
Of the Hon. Edward Mortimer Macdonald, member for the electoral district of Pictou, consequent upon the acceptance of an office of emolument under the Crown.
Of Edward James McMurray, Esquire, member for the electoral district of North Winnipeg, consequent upon the acceptance of an office of emolument under the Crown.
Of Hon. Alexander K. Maclean, member for the electoral district of Halifax, conse-1
quent upon the acceptance of an office of emolument under the Crown.
Of Auguste Thcophile Leger, Esquire, member for the electoral district of Kent, New Brunswick, by decease.
Of Pierre Joseph Arthur Cardin, Esquire, member for the electoral district of Richelieu, consequent upon the acceptance of an office of emolument under the Crown.
I accordingly issued my warrants to the Chief Electoral Officer to make out new writs of election for the said electoral districts respectively.
