William Richard Motherwell (Minister of Agriculture)
Liberal
Mr. MOTHERWELL:
I do not think my
right hon. friend takes much stock in that charge himself.
Mr. MOTHERWELL:
I do not think my
right hon. friend takes much stock in that charge himself.
Mr. MEIGHEN:
I never did. I was not
guilty; I am calling it to the attention of those who were. The minister has not noticed that cold storage warehouses were used for that purpose at all?
Mr. MOTHERWELL:
I think there was a great deal of exaggeration, and a great deal of wrong was done to those services by the charge he has referred to.
Mr. MEIGHEN:
So do I.
Mr. MOTHERWELL:
It is not heard very often to-day, due to the fact that the people begin to understand the question.
Mr. MEIGHEN:
I hope the minister did
not take part in that denunciation.
Mr. MOTHERWELL:
No.
Mr. MEIGHEN:
And I hope his remarks now will silence those who did.
Mr. MOTHERWELL:
Thank you.
Item agreed to.
The CHAIRMAN:
Item 49-
Mr. MEIGHEN:
Are we going to sit here all night?
