EXTENSION OF TIME FOR PRESENTATION

LIB

William Lyon Mackenzie King (Prime Minister; President of the Privy Council; Secretary of State for External Affairs)

Right Hon. W. L. MACKENZIE KING (Prime Minister) moved:

That whereas petitions for private bills could not be received nor private bills presented between December 15, 1926, and February 8, 1927, owing to adjournment of the House during that period, resolved that the period of time limited by the rules for such purposes be so extended as to give such petitions and bills the same period of time for presentation as if the adjournment had not taken place.

Mr. LEON J. LADNER (Vancouver South): May I ask the Prime Minister if this motion will likewise afford us days on which private bills may be brought forward?
