Section 13 of chapter 43 of the statutes of 1919, as amended by chapter 60 of the statutes of 1924 and by chapter 49 of the statutes of 1925 is further amended by repealing paragraph (c) and substituting therefor the following:

(c) within nine years after the date upon which the applicant was retired or discharged from the forces, or-

leave to present the tenth report of the select standing committee on railways, canals and telegraph lines, as follows:

Your committee have considered Bill No. 78, an act respecting the Montreal, Ottawa and Georgian Bay Canal Company, and have agreed to report the preamble thereof not proven for the reason that it would be contrary to the public interest to grant the prayer of the petitioners.

Your committee recommend that the fees and charges paid on said Bill No. 78 be refunded, less the cost of printing and translation.

CRIMINAL CODE AMENDMENT


Hon. LUCIEN CANNON (Solicitor General) moved the second reading of Bill No. 239, to amend the Criminal Code. Motion agreed to and the House went into committee thereon, Mr. Johnston in the chair. Section 1 agreed to. On section 2-Section 138 re-enacted.
