Leon Johnson Ladner

Conservative (1867-1942)

Mr. L. J. LADNER (Vancouver South):

I would like to ask the Prime Minister a question which is both urgent and of international importance. Is it the intention of the government to correct by legislation the anomalous situation in which Canada, a party to the Berne convention, finds herself, having pledged herself to guard the Canadian copyright of foreign authors as the Canadian rights are guarded in foreign countries?
