Right Hon. W. L. MACKENZIE KING (Prime Minister):

I may say to my hon.

friend that I was told by the Under-Secretary of State for External Affairs that the task which had been assigned to the department was a very onerous one, that for some weeks he had had one or two officials of the department at work on the preparation of the material asked for, and when I spoke to him he was very doubtful as to when the work could be completed. But I will be glad to have placed at my hon. friend's disposal anything that we have up to date. His order was a large one.
