Mr. MACDONALD (Richmond):

I corresponded with the chief preventive officer asking for an interview. I did not meet him, but the secretary to the Minister of National Revenue came to me and asked me if I had any information to give. I certainly was not going to give my information to any man in a subordinate position. I had information regarding certain men who had been in the preventive service, and I had information which I had obtained from sea captains.
