2 and 3. In accordance with the agreement between the Dominion government and the province of Quebec, a memorandum was submitted setting forth the public works and undertakings proposed to be carried on by the municipalities under the provisions of the Unemployment Relief Act, 1930.

The sum of $2,000 for Ste. Germaine was included in this list which, it is understood, was prepared by the provincial authorities on the recommendation of the provincial unemployment relief committee.

I think my hon. friend might be willing to withdraw this question; I hardly think it is the kind of question he would desire to press. It is a reflection upon the civil servants and upon members of this house. I am bound to say I know of no such communications, and my colleagues tell me they know of none either. If the hon. gentleman has anything of the kind in mind he might indicate it, but otherwise I think the question might be withdrawn.
