Mr. GORDON:

It is the ease of the carpenter; I know it very well. I may tell my hon. friend frankly that I have been struggling with the case, because while there is a good deal of equity on the side of the claimant, there is so little that I can do. However, I have it still under review and I hope to find some means whereby he can be compensated legally.

I am glad to hear the minister say that, because the soldier settlement board has certainly benefited to a considerable extent through this man. He is a carpenter, and returned soldier, and when so much has been done for others I think his case should be given consideration.
