Mr. LaRUE: 1. Has the provincial government of Quebec submitted an account to the federal government in connection with undertaking No. 66-114 respecting works carried out under the federal unemployment relief scheme? 2. If so, whait does the account amount to? 3. Has the federal government paid this claim; if not why?

(1) Yes.

(2) Schedule 66 approved under the Unemployment and Farm Relief Act, 1931, provides for provincial works to relieve unemployment in the following sections of the county of Matapedia :-

St. Tharsicius, Ste. Irene, St. Cleophas, Ste. Jeanne d'Arc, Ste. Paula, St-Zenon, Padoue, Albertville, Ste-Marguerite Marie, Lac au Saumon, Amqui; comprising clearing, grading, ditching, cutting lumber and building bridges and warehouses.

The above mentioned undertakings to be carried out by the Department of Colonization at a total expenditure of $41,000; the dominion proportion being 50 per cent, or $20,500.
