Richard Bedford Bennett (Prime Minister; President of the Privy Council; Secretary of State for External Affairs)

Conservative (1867-1942)

Mr. BENNETT:

With respect to these

questions it is obvious, since the decision of the privy council, that the dominion government is not in possession of all the information that has to do with the questions asked, as the provinces are solely in possession of information with respect to some companies issuing life insurance policies in Canada. Under these circumstances any answers given would be wholly inadequate and improper.
