I might point out in connection with this item that, while it is a substantial reduction, and I compliment the government upon getting a reduction in that case of, if not fifty, forty per cent at least, it would have been a much greater benefit to the producers in Canada if we had secured a reduction in respect of the export of canned goods rather than to send the fruit in its natural state to the United States to be canned by American labour.
