Mr. MACKENZIE KING:

I thought so, it may be just as well to anticipate.

In addition to the bills and resolutions which appear under government orders and the budget resolutions which are to be found in the votes and proceedings of Friday last, there will be legislation based on the reports and recommendations of the several special committees-the committee on the Elections and Franchise Acts, the committee on pensions and returned soldier problems, the committee on the Canadian radio commission, the committee on the marketing of wheat and other grains, and possibly also of the committee on railways and shipping. How extensive this legislation may 'be it is of course, not possible to say until the committees themselves have reported.

Hudson Bay Route

The proposed additional legislation will include (a) bills respecting a national finance council, loan councils, based upon the amendment to the British North America Act, notice of which appears on the order paper in the name of the Minister of Justice; (b) amendments to the criminal code, including reference to section 98; (c) a bill respecting the national parks; (d) an amendment to the Customs Act; there may also be amendments to the Combines Act, the Post Office Act, the Relief Act, the Proprietary or Patent Medicines Act, the Dry Docks Subsidies Act, the Carriage of Goods By Water Act, and a bill respecting marketing. These will be for the most part minor amendments. Then possibly there may be supplementary estimates of limited amounts.

I wish to add this further reservation. I am giving to the house at the moment all that the government see as a possibility, but I should like to have the right reserved to introduce one or two other measures should this be found necessary between now and the time that parliament prorogues.
