The government has no information as to the total number of applications received by such approved lending institutions. 1. Yea.

2. Following preliminary surveys along the route of the Trans-Canada Airway, a detailed survey by officers of the Department of National Defence was made between January 6th and 16th, 1935. The report of this survey is dated January 16th, 1935.

3. Yes. The report stated that on January 6th this property was the only one in the district not covered by water, and that a thorough search had established the fact it was the only suitable aerodrome in the district. Fog was known to be prevalent in the district during the winter months.

4 and 5. Options were taken on the property from the former owners, Dr. Edward H. Saunders and John W. Berry, on January 10th and 11th, 1935, respectively.
