The object of this bill is to enable Canadian insurance companies to invest in equipment trust securities of Canadian railways, and also to include among the permitted investments certain securities of public authorities of the United Kingdom and of the dominions which are not now permitted under the Insurance Act.

bour commissioners and the jurisdiction of the North Fraser commissioners, the land having reverted to the Department of Transport. This matter arises through a revision of the act concerning the North Fraser harbour commissioners made a few years ago. It is felt desirable that this particular area should be administered foy the New Westminster harbour commissioners. Motion agreed to and bill read the first time.
