Mr. EULER:
Immediately.
Mr. NEEDHAM:
That leads mie to another question. If it comes into effect immediately, those farmers with wheat on hand will be penalized.
Mr. EULER:
Perhaps I might correct that and say that it will not come into effect until the end of the present crop year.
Mr. NEEDHAM:
That is what I wanted to know.
Mr. EULER:
The present crop year is on the basis of 80 cents.
Mr. MANION:
Does the amendment just agreed to, make the 70 cent rate applicable to Ontario wheat on exactly the same basis as it applies to the west?
Mr. EULER:
Exactly.

That such part of the fourth report of the standing committee on miscellaneous private bills, relating to Bill No. 71, for the relief of Zdenka Pauline Otillie Josefine von Ehren-feld-Pop Drummond, otherwise known as Yvonne Drummond, as presented to the house to-day, he now concurred in.
Motion agreed to. On motion of Mr. Lapointe (Quebec East) the house adjourned at 11.07 p.m. Friday, May 12, 1939
