LIB

Mr. MACDONALD (Halifax): (Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of National Defence)

Liberal

1. Yes.

2. The same type of form is used but the word "enlisted" appears on the discharge certificate for general service soldiers whereas the word "enrolled" is shown on the certificate for N.R.MA. soldiers. In addition, the series of N.R.M.A. regimental numbers is distinguishable from General Service numbers. However, if an N.RjM.A. soldier has volunteered for general service, his general service number is used on the discharge certificate and the words, "also served under N.R.M.A. from-to -" are added.
