National Harbours Board- 556. Advances to National Harbours Board, subject to the provisions of section 29 of the National Harbours Board Act, to meet expenditures applicable to the calendar year 1948 on any or all of the following accounts:- (a) Retirement of maturing debentures- Saint John, $282,960. (b) Reconstruction and capital expenditures -Halifax, $2,605,775; Saint John, $2,000,000; Quebec, $122,200; Churchill, $50,000; generally unforeseen and miscellaneous, $200,000; total, $4,977,975. Less amount to be expended from replacement funds, $426,000-$4,551,975. Deficits-Tr ansport- 557. Amount required to provide for the payment during the fiscal year 194849 to the Canadian National Railway Company (hereinafter called the national company) upon applications approved by the Minister of Transport, made from time to time by the national company to the Minister of Finance and to be applied by the national company in payment of the deficit (certified by the auditors of the national company) in the operation of the Prince Edward Island car ferry and terminals arising in the calendar year 1948, $904,600. National Harbours Board- 558. To provide for payment to National Harbours Board, of the amount hereinafter set forth, to be applied in payment of the deficit (exclusive of interest on dominion government advances and depreciation on capital structures) arising in the calendar year 1948, in the operation of the Churchill harbour, $94,000. 559. Advances to National Harbours Board with interest at a rate to be fixed by the governor in council for such period and upon such terms and conditions as the governor in council may determine, to be applied1 in payment of deficits resulting from the operations of the Jacques Cartier bridge, $303,810. Loans and investments- 560. Advances to National Harbours Board, subject to the provisions of section 29 of the National Harbours Board Act, to meet expenditures applicable to the calendar year 1948 on any or all of the following accounts: reconstruction and capital expenditures-Montreal, $863,105; Vancouver, $115,000; total, $968,105.
