Mr. MACKENZIE KING:

I know, but I think in the long run the time of parliament will be saved by concluding at once the war appropriation measure rather than having the whole matter opened up again at a later stage. I share my hon. friend's desire to get on with the measure that he has referred to relating to the amendment of the National Resources Mobilization Act, and personally I would very much hope that this discussion on the present bill might conclude this week and that there would be opportunity to go on with the other measure on Monday or Tuesday next. But until to-morrow night I cannot say just when. However, I feel that we should conclude this present discussion as rapidly as possible.
