Alfred Johnson Brooks

Progressive Conservative

Mr. A. J. Brooks (Royal):

I had intended to direct a question to the Minister of Trade and Commerce, arising out of the loss of markets for pit props in Great Britain. The minister is not here, but I left notice of this question with his parliamentary assistant. The question is this. Was the minister able to make any arrangements, during his recent visit to Europe, for the sale of pit props to Great Britain or any other country, and is he in a position to give any information with regard to present or future markets for this woods product?
