Mr. Claxton:

Mr. Chairman, I appreciate the helpful remarks of the hon. member for Cape Breton South, and I should also like to meet the wish of the hon. member for Nanaimo. In view of the difference of opinion, I think perhaps the only possible course to follow is to make a statement on this resolution, and then look forward with hopefulness to the appointment of the committee about which I have spoken, not the one to which the hon. member for Cape Breton South has referred, to deal with these bills as soon as possible.
