Louis Stephen St-Laurent (Prime Minister; President of the Privy Council)
Liberal
Mr. St. Laurent:
Mr. Speaker, I move that the house do now adjourn until eleven o'clock tomorrow morning. I think we have reason to expect that by then the other place will have dealt with the bills that have been dealt with here and that the royal assent might be given to that legislation. The motion that has just been adopted applies only after the current business of the session is completed. That business will not be completed until Mr. Speaker comes back to this house and reports that royal assent has been given to the bills that have been passed.
Motion agreed to and the house adjourned at 4.55 p.m.
