Hon. F. G. Bradley (Secretary of Slate) moved:

That a special committee consisting of thirty members to be named later be appointed to study the several amendments to the Dominion Elections Act, 1938, and amendments thereto, suggested by the chief electoral officer, to study the said act, to suggest to the house such amendments as the committee may deem advisable, and report from time to time, with power to send for persons, papers and records and to print the proceedings, and that the provisions of section 1 of standing order 65 be waived in respect to this committee.
