Mr. Speaker, there is, in connection with this matter, one feature upon which I think we will all be agreed and that is that it is most unfortunate that a subject of the kind has to be made a matter of trial in the newspapers and that perhaps it is equally a misfortune when one

of the newspapers which engages in such a trial happens to be the personal or particular organ of any hon. gentleman in this House.
