Mr. ROGERS:

There is no truth in
the statement, as far as I am aware. That item was called to my attention yesterday, but I have no knowledge of the matter. I am satisfied it is absolutely incorrect, because I have had several applications in connection with dams and the development of water-powers there, but have invariably given the same answer that nothing could be done until we had the report of the Waterways Commission.
