Mr. CARROLL:
It is a fact that you
cannot go into the post office without getting the smell of intoxicating liquors to an intolerable extent. I do not know whether the matter has been remedied or not. The whole county, including that town, is under a local prohibition law; yet the Government are establishing bonded warehouses. I am not objecting to having a bonded warehouse in the town; but I do object, on behalf of the public, to having it in the basement of a public building into which every one of the public goes daily for mail.
