It is not my intention to attempt any reply to the points that my hon. friend from Lot-biniere has attempted to make in connection with this question. The members of the Government will be able to make that answer, and I think they "will not find it an exceedingly difficult task.
I wish to say at the outset that if the opinion which the hon. gentleman has expressed on railway questions, and particularly in reference to the Grand Trunk Pacific, and the Grand Trunk, is shared by his friends who sit on that side of the House, and by any very large number of the people of Canada, God help the country.
