Mr. Speaker, yesterday during consideration of the supply for the Department of Finance, my right hon. friend the leader of the opposition (Mr. Meighen) desired information as to the expenditure under vote 298. I find that a statement of these expenditures was tabled at the beginning of the session, the total then shown being $57,323.45. Since that time there have been the following additional expenses on account of this vote:
Expenses in connection with the visit of the
treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia
and party $1,711 67
Clarkson Gordon and Dil worth, for disbursements and services rendered in connection with the preparation of the report on the affairs
of the Home Bank of Canada 1,238 00
Herbert Thompson, to cover loss of stolen
boat and damages to a canoe 10 00
Compensation for injury sustained at Elmira,
Ont., post office 100 00
Expenditure in connection with entertaining the Japanese training squadron on their visit to Victoria and Vancouver, February, 1925. 831 52
