Conservative (1867-1942)

Right Hon. R. B. BENNETT (Prime Minister):

Mr. Speaker, I think perhaps
members of the house will be pleased to know that at two o'clock to-day we were in telephonic communication with one of our members, Sir George Perley, who arrived at Buenos Aires this morning with his party. He stated they were all in excellent health and spirits, but the weather had been rather hot. As indicative of the remarkable triumphs of science in the field of telephony, I may say that we were able to hear him just as clearly as if he had been speaking to us in this chamber.
