Mr. W. T. LUCAS (Camrose):

Mr. Speaker, I would like to ask a question of the right hon. Prime Minister (Mr. Bennett) in his capacity as Minister of Finance, based on a number of protests I have received from borrowers under the Farm Loan Act, that undue pressure is being used at this time in making collections. We realize that the matter of repayment must be keipt before, the attention of borrowers at all times but these letters would indicate that the notices sent out are of a very peremptory and harassing nature and it would not seem that any consideration is being given to the unusual financial conditions which prevail at the present time. Is it the wish of the right hon. the Prime Minister that such a course should be pursued at this particular time?
