Mr. HODGSON:

Back in the war days when you were building this air training scheme clear across Canada, the first order came out, "Don't accept anything but spruce and pine to build these camps." Everyone knows that hemlock is just as good as and a little better than low-grade pine or spruce to build the framework of any of these air training camps. But they did not want hemlock; at the same time we had quite a bit of hemlock on our hands. I do not know the reason for that, but this might be the reason. At that time the timber controller happened to be a big lumber king from British Columbia.

Mr. HODGSON:

I should like to know

why the minister has not brought in both ceiling and floor prices on all farm commodities. If he has not had time to do so, or there is any other reason, will he bring in something of that kind at the next session of parliament? [DOT]
