Mr. WHITE:
Mr. Chairman, I am a little curious to learn from the minister the vent of these films. How are they circulated? Their purpose I take to be principally to attract trade and tourist travel from abroad to Canada. Are these films shown in moving picture theatres, and if so, are prices paid by the government to these theatres for the showing of the films. It is a very simple thing to produce films of Canada, its resources, scenery and so on, but a very different matter to have those films shown more or less throughout Europe and the United States. I should think that is a costly proceeding, and if the government has not as yet been paying out money to that end, what sort of circulation of the films has been secured?
