1. Has Joseph Alphonse Dumontier, been appointed inspector of Inland Revenue for the district of Quebec? If so, when?

2. Did he at the time of his appointment possess the qualification prescribed by section of the regulations relating to the government of the excise branch of the Inland Revenue Department?

3. If so, when did he acquire such qualifications ?

4. If not, what were the reasons for departure from the regulations?

Before the orders of the day are called, I would like to ask the Prime Minister if the report in the morning press that a commission is to be appointed to investigate the Farmers' Bank, is correct. Might I ask whether or not the Prime Minister is in a position to make an announcement to the House on the question?
