Mr. WARREN:
I venture to say that many of these men, at all events, could find work on the farms of the different provinces if they wanted to; but that is the trouble; you cannot get them to take that work after they have been doing government jobs. They do not want that kind of work.

I suppose they are putting in crops in the dried-out areas this year, and in doing that they require help. If they have moisture, they will naturally want to put in crops, and in doing that there would be employment for numbers of these men.

I think it is greatly the fault of the young men there, that they did not get out of Vancouver when they had the money and the price to get out where work was to be found, and to. take on the work available.

I do not see why any
governing body should have to take the responsibility for taking care of all of its citizens. If we are going to adopt that sort of attitude-well, what are we drifting to?-just a dictatorship; that is all.
