behalf of the Secretary of State for External Affairs I desire to table the report, in both English and French, of the Canadian delegation to the third session of the conference of UNESCO at Beirut from the 17th of November to the 11th of December, 1948.

I rise on a question of privilege. I am the parliamentary assistant to the minister concerned, and I should like to say that frank statements will be made and always have been made in the house so far as this department is concerned. If there is any confusion, it is-

I have not a high opinion for the statements made by the leader of the opposition, but I would ask that that imputation be withdrawn, because it is false.

-in the mind of the hon. member for Hong Kong-I beg pardon; the leader of the opposition. I know that, because I have been talking to service men who served in the last war, and they are disgusted at the general attitude and the inaccuracies of the leader of the opposition.

On a point of order, Mr. Chairman, I wonder whether the hon. member for Stanstead would ask the question and we shall see if we can answer it. We have not been asked a question yet. The minister said that the only questions he would not answer
were those dealing with matters of security which it was not in the public interest t< answer. The others will be answered if w< can answer them. If we cannot answer then we shall say so.
